383 First start
Basically the motor is more or less ready to start, however;
The car originally had a stock 305TPI, to which I've put in a 383 with a Stealth ram, 24lb LT1 injectors, comp cams XE274 (230 236 and .490 .490 ) and vortec heads.
I know i have alot tunning ahead of me but will the car start and run well enough to break the cam and engine in with the STOCK 305 computer? Should I try a 350TPI computer until its broken in ??? Thanks

your computer is going to be like what the hell!!!! and you might get a check engine light on... but it should run i wouldn't see why not....
she's gonna run real ruff!!!! i'm running a 350, HSR, 26# injectors, on a 305 TPI computer, stock chip as of rigth nwo...its more confused than a retard in a book store...
you should be able to get it fired up, but its gonna be lumping all over the place and is gonna be doing a lot of spuddering...its gonna be a quick battle to keep it running and adjust the timing and everything at once...
IMO its not really worth it... I would get ahold of whoever you are getting to tune it, and see if they can burn you a chip of like stock TPI 350 specs atleast, and then it should run half way decent to break in your cam...
however i did break in my motor with a 305 TPI chip, so it can be done, you have a bit more cam than me, but not much, and i have bigger injectors, so I'm guessing they will run pretty close to each other as far as being untuned...

Hmm, why don't you go ahead and get you a programmer and chip from Craig Moates? That way you can go ahead and change your displacement size and injector constants to the correct values. It'll be a lot happier with you then.
