which kumho?

i've used the v-tread z-rated tire and the kumho 711 radial, and well both were ok, by far not the best performance tire. But as anything else, you get what you pay for.

The 711's are cheap, and i use them daily just because i can burn out and replace them cheaply. they run out on me every 9k miles, the last set lasted 5k miles, gas pedal got stuck during a brake stand...

Drag nights i use my mickey's and well, they are expensive, and can take quite a few burn outs.

The v tread tire, i think its the 712, is a decent tire, awesome wet traction(what the v-tread is for). But i wentthrough these tires in 8k miles, to the belt! They were as of then deemed too expensive to replace twice a year.

thanks for the info, i think i am gonna go with the kumho's for now. i dont think any tire i buy will last more than 10,000 miles. i put cheap tires on my 2nd gen z28 and i couldn't go around a bend without goin' sideways, they s**ked. can't wait to get it out.

well kumho's do get decent tracktion, the 712's have a stronger sidewall, but are twice the price of 711's.

the 711's have a decent sidewall, but not the best.

I can't say muhc more then the drag racing traction of these tires might get a 6 out of 10. They dont grip as well as alot of more expensive tires, but their quiet when doing it so as to not grab attension.

I like Khumos...probably the best quality tire for the money out there right now...maybe Sumotomos...
