What kind of numbers would i be looking at?

Well im just wondering what you guys figure these combos would put ot for power...

Eng1=

350ci
-12cc dish pistons (10.5:1??)
416 heads
Comp cams 265DEH (link to spec)
RPM air gap intake
770cfm holley
GM HEI ingnition

Eng2=

350ci
.2" dome pistons (10.3:1??)
882 heads
Comp cams XE256H (link to spec)
Edelbrock RPM pro flo EFI system
GM HEI ignition

So am i anywhere close to being on the right track here?

Im not looking for a $10,000 machine here, just something that will be a bit stronger than that old tired 305 and still get decent fuel economy. I was leaning towards the EFI because of the range of tunability which hopefully could get me a healthy motor without chugging the gas faster than i can pump it in!!!

Thanks in advance guys!

Your running to much compression. With those cams and heads you will want 9.5:1.

Ok thanks!

I was looking to use a set of heads i had kicking arund which are obviously a set of 416s (on motor in car) and a set of 882s (on an old 350, rod through block).

So what if i went with a bit bigger dish on eng1 and flattops on eng2, that should get me down into the mid 9:1s. Or would i be alot better off going with a 'bigger' cam?

Cool, im looking at doing very similar setups but with quite a bit more cam. Report back if you get the EFI, i have always wanted to try an edelbrock or holley EFI setup but didnt want to blow the money on something thats going to take 5 years to tune!
