Can an evap canister go bad??
I got some serious gas smell under the hood front near where the cannister is. It only happens when I run the car for a while and get the temp up and run for a while.. IE when I come home from work, and park in the garage, the whole garage smells like gas very quickly. But if I just drive around the block or a similar short trip, I don't have the odor.
I was thinking maybe leaky fuel injector, so I replaced them (130k miles, time anyway) Didn't fix the bad smell.. So I have traced every line from the gas tank into the engine bay and could not find a leak.. At this point I am stumped, I replaced the vacuum line from the throttle body to the canister, but that didn't help.. So I am wondering if they simply go bad after a while..
Thanks

Did you remove the canister and replace the filter? It might be saturated or worn out. Worth a shot, the filters are very inexpensive.
