Check engine light/ idling rough

Every time I drive my car and turn it off and come right back and turn it on the light comes on and it runs rough, wont idle on its own. This also does it when you have it parked out in the sun for a while also. Other wise the car runs fine and the light never comes on while driving it. It only comes on if you go to start it right after you have been driving it. I was thinking it has something to do with the IAT sensor or possibly the MAP sensor. Anyone have any ideas or have run into this problem before.

Pull the code with a paper clip. Do you know how to do this?

Ok heres whats going on. I diagnosed the vehicle needing an ECM for my car. I replaced the ecm and soon afterwards the check engine light comes on, but only comes on if you have been driving the car for a while or have it sittig out in the sun for a long period of time. So i took a paper clip and jumped the terminals and got the default code so it shows that i have communication with the computer, this is when the check engine light is off. However when the check engine light is on the light does not flash or show any sort of communication with the computer. So my guess is that i have a bad ECM and have a short internally. What do you guys think.

Thanks
Brian

Anybody out there have any ideas cause im getting kinda frustrated with the light coming on right after i have drove it or having the darn thing come on sitting in the sun. Like i said i put a jump wire between the A and B terminal on the ALDL when car is fine the check engine light flashes the default code 12 but continually does it. But when the car is running rough and has the light on, and you hook a jumper wire between A and B light does not flash. Any ideas???? Please help me
