hey guys whats up im new here and new to the chevy world im not new to engines but i used to drive mustangs before but it gets to expensive. I want to know what valvetrain to use on my 86 iroc cam lifters ps rockers combo or should i just get a cam i want to get heads in the future of a 96 p.u. heard they are good but i dont now much, info would be great in advance...

Welcome Aboard!

Do a little poking around the site, the Tech Articles, and see what others with similar setups are doing.

Is this '86 a carbed engine (l69) or TPI LB9)? Cam selection will likely be a little different for each aplication. In either case, the factory cam leaves a lot to be desired. The good part of that is that with just a cam and springs, you can wake the little engine up quite a bit.
