cam question

I have a 1973 350 block and heads which I installed a 1985 tpi unit converted to speed density. My question is that the car runs but really poorly and wont idle.I have a 730 ecm and the cam specs at .420intake,.443exhaust.204intake@.050dur,214@.050dur.I called up summit racing and the tech told me the cam wasnt compatible with the chip in the computer. He told me it would be $375 to get a custom one for me.Does anyone think that the cam cant run with the stock chip?Any help would appreciate any feedback!

That cam will run just fine with a stock 305/350 TBI computer, haven't tried the same cam with a 730 ecm, but it should be fine. Are you running the 350 chip? What injectors? You need to be running the 350 chip and the 350 injectors. Other combinations will produce poor results.

Brand new G.M knock sensor for a 350.I think I am going to have my injectors flow tested to see if one maybe is not stuck open.
