Anyone running .488+ lift on 416 heads?

Just wondering if anyones running a .488 or similar lift with the +.050 locks?

A stock 416 casting running '.438' shouldnt be a problem. right?

i'm going to be running .535" with aftermarket retainers, locks, etc, positive seals and 1.75" installed height.

You're going to use the 416 heads after all eh? those AFR's didn't fit the budget?

No, no AFR's yet

Have to save a few bucks for the trip to edmonton next month and this motor needs to get finished, pedal biking my **** to work every day sucks!

Im going to try and get as much of this as i can while im in edmonton, probably save alot of money!

But you have had the guides machined down on your heads have you not?

I cannot easily attain the tool to knock them down a bit and definately not going to put the money for shipping and machining into these heads...

I'm not sure if my guides were lowered, my machine shop just said they put on positive valve seals, they didn't charge me for machining, so I can only assume they didn't.....
I also made it very clear, .535" lift, make sure it's ok. He said i'm fine, so....
