VALVE STEM SEALS ?
trying to finish heads and need to know what would be the best seals.
083 cast iron heads, guids cut to .531".
i have comp teflon positive type seals but im reading that they are for bronze type guides witch need less oil.
should i use these or any other recomendations ? preferably something from jegs or summit or auto parts store.
seen edelbrock viton seals and are not sure if they will cause me the same problem as teflon.
thanks
mike

new valves, guide slop less than spec for used heads.
while i have your attention any recomendations on a set of head gaskets that wont break the budget. 9;3;1 comp.

The regular stock FelPro set (whatever part # the parts counter book shows for whatever style of block you're using) should be perfectly OK, for what sounds like a mostly pretty much stock setup.
