My 1984 lg4 ccc was acting up something bad or so I thought so I order a rebuilt carb from National Carbuerators with all new computer parts. Received the 257.00 Quad and installed it. Same hesitation and missing symtoms, beside my self I reset the computer. It then ran great until I started the car the next day and went back into funk. Is it more likely the box or chip? If I get one from the boneyard do they all have the same chip or do I have to use my specific one? Please tell me the relationship between computer and prom.

I had a similar problem on my 85 TA. after chasing the problem for the better part of six months, i ended up trashing the computer, and dropping on an edelbrock and vac advance dizzy.
