roller rocker problem, need a little help
hey guys ,i hope im in the right spot.i have checked the search and not found this problem so i hope someone can help.i have a 5.7 L-98 with L-t4 production cam, alluminum corvette L-98 heads casting number 113.All of these parts, entire engine included, are brand new and never been run.while im installing my 1.6 roller rockers(cat stainless steel)they appear to be angeled to the side away from each other at the spring side.the man thats helping me build the motor says he has seen it before but he doesnt like it.its almost like the giudeplates slot where the pushrod comes through is pushing it to the side a little.I am useing hardened push rods.I have a lot of time and money, well a lot of money for my budget, invested and i dont want to screw anything up.Any suggestions?thanks

you've got guide plates, are the rockers self aligning? do they have little "humps" on either side of where the pushrod pushes on the rocker?

IIRC, L98 heads are supposed to align the pushrod. The guideplate and the alignment holes may be interfearing with each other. Check to see if the pushrod is rubbing at the head where it passes through.
