I found 7 numbers on the back of my block.....

Is this what tells ya about the motor by any chance ?...the #'s are 8970010...if someone could please help that would be great !

Replace the "8" with a "3" (as with age, the 2 can be mistaken for eachother as grime builds up) and you have the casting number for a very common engine block. All it says about the engine is that that it has a 4.0x0" bore.

Thanks alot guys...i just got a 91 camaro rs and the guy i got it from said he put a 350 in it and i was just wantingtomake sure he wasnt bs'n me....i'll getthe last 2 parts tomorrow and hopefully have it running by saturday afternoon....thanks again

Not common down here...couldnt find one anywhere in the state lol....but at least i finally found one even if i have to rebuild it.

Well out of the 350s that are available, a lot of them are 010 blocks.

Ahhh ok...man down here in Mississippi...if ya got a 350...ya got a small gold nugget on hand...everyone down here makes rod's out of em,so gettin one is like bedding a celebrity....VERY hard to do, but when ya get it, ya rag it out
