A/C Removal
I've got two different F-bodies that are at two different points of completion. One is a 86' Camaro that has everything attached...or as of now does. I plan on taking out the compressor, lines and the big box next to the blower motor housing. The second 3rd gen is an 83' Firebird..with just that stupid box still in the engine bay. My question is, what is that box housing called? And how do you remove it. I can see that it has a couple of bolts that attach it to the firewall....but is there some internal **** that i'm not aware of. Thanks!!!

there is but it isnt attached to the box that surrounds it , i took mine out and it was not hard at all , all thats inside is where the lines come into the box (i dont remeber with the part is called) but it just lifts out of place
From what I remember you need to undo the bolts that attach it from the engine bay and then there are a few that are inside under the dash? I don't quite remember as I was taking off a master cylinder when a buddy of mine was taking it off. It's not that hard to get out though
