hard to start, and keep running please help!!!!!!!!!!
i just bought a 1986 iroc z28 w/5.0 tpi. it is hard to start, stalls, burns rich, oil smells like gas. ive been searching threw my haynes manual and im getting nowhere. please help!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not an engine guru, but if the oil smells like gas, it sounds to me like you have a bad piston ring.
Just my guess.
Maybe some of the real engine guru's will chime-in.

Any codes ? Could be something just makeing the motor run rich . I wouldn't drive it untill I found out what it was .

Axle/Gears: 10bolt 3.23's I think
Could be leaking injector(s), check your fuel pressure running and shut the car off.. see how quickly the pressure goes away.. if the pressure drops rapidly you likely have a leaking injector.
