The 86 TPI cam is the flat-tappet version of the TBI peanut cam. It was the same cam used in LG4 engines. I dont know how you can mention this cam and a jump in lift and duration in the same sentence. This cam is horribly small.

well this cam is in my friend 86 iroc and we are puttin in a cam from my old 355 in it to wake his car up. its a mild street cam but will do a ton more for his engine then it ever did for mine.

As long as your old 355 cam is a flat tappet, and you keep the lifters on the same cam lobe as they were installed in your engine, you can do that.

Mismatching lifters is a quick way to wipe out a cam lobe.

It is also the same cam that comes in the 305/350 TBI truck engines. Its a WIMP!
