i turn my key and it wont let me crank
okay so after spending 3 hrs in LTI fixing my damn starter solenoid and a bad ignition wire, i went home and noticed that my high beams were on so i got under my steering column and tried to click it manually (keep in mind my highbeam function on my lever doesnt work ). While i am down there there was this stupid clip that was in my way, so i said ugh i'll move it out the way. The clip came off completely, i know it was holding some sort of cable. So i go back to turn my car on and it will let me go to the on position but not past it where it will crank. Like if something is stuck, so i take the steering column down, saw the link that moves in and out and it seemed fine. I tried to put the key in and start it, and vuala it cranked.. does anyone have a clue where this clip goes?, the clip is some sort of wierd half circle, anyone know what im talking about? i can try to get a picture if that helps. What would cause the ignition to not go past the on position?
