SMOKE AT START-UP
WHEN I FIRST START MY CAR, I GET A FEW SECONDS WORTH OF SMOKE. I LOOKS KIND OF WHITISH-GREEN. I WAS WONDERING WHAT THAT COULD MEAN?

Wiesbaden, eh? My daughter was born there while I was stationed in Mainz.
White smoke indicates coolant in the air/fuel charge. Sounds a whole lot like a cracked head.

White smoke is burning antifreeze or condensation.
A puff of blue smoke at startup is very common on higher mileage engines, just the valve stem seals gone.

white gets too often confused with gray which could be residual fuel or running a bit rich. happened to me for awhile til i had it tuned...

It's not a cracked head, or antifreeze in your combustion chamber, or else it would ALWAYS make smoke.
Check again for the color, if it has a blue hue to it, I will put money on it that it is the valve stem seals.
BTW, we should just make a sticky that reads "IF YOU HAVE SMOKE AT STARTUP READ THIS!"

there really are not to many colors... smells yes lol.. An easy way to check what it is is to check the plugs... if they have oil on them then it is the valve seals or the like... plugs can tell you alot about what is coming out of your exaust.
