hey guy its my first post... Im new to this site. I've owned 3 gens in my life time so far still have 2 of them a 91 Z t-top and a 91 Z convert. ...... The t-top is in tip top shape....but the convertible had some bad owners in her past. She has some problems but I still love that car. Some one had by passed the Vats system on there............. The key I use for the ignition is a " looks like " a solid brass key ......... the excact same size as the key with the Vats chip on it but it has no chip.............I've read other post about the 2 white wires with the orange loom around it... I've know what wire your talking about because I know its disconnected...and there is a black or purple wire .. that its suppose to connecto to right ?? When those black purple wires have some sort of wire plug on it.... ............ Anyways .... I remember when the guy sold me the car he told me that I have to turn the key foward until the security light goes off then turn the key, but sometimes I forget to do that and it still turn on.........................So I know he was wrong there., but If I drive it around for a while and turn it off for more than 5 mins " give or take some mins .." it will not turn on anymore. But If I turn it off and imediatley turn it back on it turns on fine. ?????????? Any sujestions? I've already replace the starter... I even took it off again and took it back so they can test it out over and over and it turned over every time. I've taken it to a Car Audio place and had them check it out to see if it had been by passed correctly " since they do remote start there " they told me it was Ok. There are a bunch of cut / black taped wire all over the place..... I've been trying to clean all that crap up...... Any Info would be great ..
