Hey all,

Plastic bit of the upper speedo cable broke on me today. I can find the long non-cruise one with no issues, but can't find this upper one anywhere... I would like to get one with a metal connector, any idea on where to get one?

 

I found the lower section for my '83 Z28 at Autozone( http://autozone.com ).It was a bit longer but not so much to cause a problem.I did notice they carry the upper cable in stock.Also there's a universal cable kit you cut to length and reuse the your present cable housing.

They list the manual trans upper cable as Pioneer P/N CA-3005.I'm not sure if it would be different for your '85.

The closest Autozone to me is ~40mi away... I would rather avoid the trip for the cable. They don't have the upper cable listed online. Does anyone know a place online where I could buy one?

Edit: For an '83, they have upper and lower cables listed, but the cable listed is too long - it should be 27 or 28", not the 61" listed.

 

Search Ebay, theres a guy that sells both the long and short cables and the cable for the cruise control. He has a bunch so there not up for auction, you just buy them. I think they were $32 each. I purchased a 72" cable from him last week. It's good quality.

 

I checked out eBay but couldn't find anything. Who is this seller?
