i read somewhere over the weekend that u can tell the difference between a 305 and 350 cuz a 305 has '1' pcv on one valve cover and a 350 has a pcv on each valve cover..??? is this true and a way of telling the difference???

No, that's crap, just like all of the other "differences". The only way to tell the difference is to look at the casting numbers, or take it apart and measure the bore.
