Throttle Position Sensor Adjustment
I just replaced the throttle position sensor on my '92 RS. Now it's throwing a code stating the TPS is too low. How do I adjust it? There is no lever, it mounts flush with the throttle body assembly. Any suggestions?

you need to use a voltmeter, and loosen either top or bottom of the tps, turn the key on, find the output wire not sure which, Then set it to .54 volts closed throttle

Every TPS for FI cars I've ever seen have a tang that has to be in contact with the throttle linkage. Most of the "low TPS" codes are either from incorrect installation or a bad TPS. I know you just replaced it but parts are known to be bad out of the box. Check the resistance of the TPS with the plug disconnected - if it does'nt change it's probably not engaging the throttle tang.

Turns out there is no adjustment for the tps on the 3.1L V6. The parts house gave me the wrong part! Once the new one was in it ran like a dream! Thanks for the input, though!
