How easy is it to change the steering box?

I'm wondering if I can change the steering box on my 82 Trans Am myself, or if I should have my mechanic do it. I do have power steering, and my tools are basic. Are any special tools required to change the steering box?

Edit, I just found out I would need a Tie Rod Fork, which I can either lend from my mechanic or use the free rebate program from Advance Auto.

Unbolt the center link from the pitman arm. Hit the pitman arm beside the center link mount hole with a big hammer and the center link will pop out. Unbolt the steering shaft and slide it up out of the way. Remove the power steering lines. These will need an 18mm wrench or a crow foot wrench. Don't use a 3/4" wrench. Unbolt the 3 bolts through the frame and take out the steering box.

You'll need a pitman arm puller if you're installing a steering box that doesn't come with a third gen pitman arm.
