Battery wont stay charged!
i figured id post this here since eletrical has to do more with accessories and wiring and such.
this has developed recently, the car will just die out of no where and i dont even have enough juice to spin the starter. i have a new battery and just replaced the alternator as i thought it was the problem.
im pretty sure the battery doesnt have a damaged cell because it will hold a charge when i jump my car. i think for some reason the computer is not telling the alternator to charge the battery. im a little lost as to ideas. all connections are secure and the belt is tight with very little play. please any suggestions would be great! walking to work sucks!! lol
oh also, i do not have any blown fuses if that helps.

How have you checked the battery? 12 volts across the terminals does'nt tell you much, you need to do a load test to see if its good or not. This is the test the parts store will do if you bring it in.
The computer does'nt have anything to do with charging the battery. Alternators from parts stores are notorious for being bad out of the box. If you can, take the car to a parts store that will test your battery and alternator on the car. If not, take both of them in and have them tested.
