cheap and easy knock gauge
I swapped out my tbi for a carb and was would like to still use the knock sensor. Wouldnt it be possible to just hook up a light to the sensor without buying an expensive gauge? Or is there more to it than knock-no knock?

The knock sensor is just a glorified microphone, so you'd need some supporting electronics.

i remember this being discussed in an old thread.
The sensor gives off some sort of signal that is decoded my the ECM. or something like that.
Not as simple as hooking up a light or anything. I believe someone made up a diagram of a circuit you could build that would allow you to use just a bulb
