Spark Plug Reach

I have spark plugs that are .480 reach. When I screw them into my alum heads there go about flush with the combustion chamber. Should it stick out abit into the combustion chamber? (I have the heads in my lap lol there not in the car thats how I know how deep it is in it lol.)

Whats the recommended reach for a 305 TBI as well?

Many of the aluminum heads use a 3/4" reach gasketed plug. Such as an Autolite 3924.

The threaded portion of the plug should be flush with the chamber surface.
