No, you can't bore a 305 out to a 350. If you tried to bore it out that far you'd have no walls left and you'd be into the coolant passages.

Most 305 parts can be used on a 350. A few need to be changed. It depends which engine you have now. If you do a search, this gets covered all the time.

As long as you use the same heads or any other 87+ head the TPI will bolt on without and modifications.
Headers are all the same. a SBC is a SBC (other than the oddball D port heads), it doesnt know or care what its on!
What do you plan on doing with the motor?
If you plan on making high RPM power you should seriously look at ditching the TPI, its a great system for lower RPM but falls on its face in the higher RPMs (4500RPM+) unless you port it out, but it would still be lacking.

motor
I'm a torque freak and not into high speeds,it's gonna be a daily driver with alittle attitude,I mostly stay in the idle to 5,500 rpm range when I build my motors?so should the tpi stay or the carb be put on?

if you want to use a 350 block with your 305 rotating assembly you have buy new pistons. your rods and crank will work but the factory balance on a 305 crank is a little different than a 350.
As far as using the heads of a 305 the intake valve is a bit smaller and the combustion camber is also smaller along with the runner volume.
You will get higher compression with a 305 head due to the combustion camber volume of 58 but you will have to be carefull of the piston to valve clearance. Clay the motor for clearnance or you will be sorry!

As long as you dont run big dome pistons, which you wont be able to if you use the 305 heads their will not be any valve-piston clearance issues. But its always better safe than sorry, check it out, ya never know if someone had those heads milled or that block decked.
