heater core in an fbody with a/c
first off can i say what a big pain in the ***. it wasnt my own car but damn it was not worth it even though it was my aunts. it took my from 9am to about 3 4 in the afternoon to change her heater core. it was all good removing the center console and the radio pod and dash pad but after that it was hell. bolts under the hood and plastic boxes that you have to take off. bolts were not easy to get to either. removing all the underside plastics and dropping the passenger side of the dash was just rediculous for the actual 5 minutes it took to replace the stupid damn heater core. i refuse to ever do it again and putting it back together was just a whole other story it was a bigger pain in the *** with old broken parts and making everything fit which wasnt that easy on her damn 88 notch. now i refuse to ever do it again even on my own car. to all of you that do it good ****ing luck and have lots of spare time on your hands.

Other than showing your prowess at the rules-violating skirting of the board filter, what's your point? We already know replacing the core is a pain.

why did U remove all of that, all you have to remove is the pass. side hush panel, and use a 1/4 drive deep well socket with a short extension to remove the box cover, and then use the same setup W/ the next size down socket to remove the retaining bands and then pull it through the firewall, I've had to do it on both of my camaros and my trans am, 30 min tops...and yes all 3 cars have/had A/C

Hey, at least it wasn't an 88 Ford Taurus, the heater core in that takes about 7 or 8 hours to do. Sometimes even more depending on the person.
