intake doesn't support egr. what can i expect from this?

Axle/Gears: strange 3.73's
intake doesn't support egr. what can i expect from this?
basicly what the topic says. got a Weiand model #7546 intake single plane manifold, no egr provision. what could i expect from my engine. overheating? detonation? knock? if it starts to knock would lowering the timing down solve that? i have it at 6*adv as it is.
