Sticking throttle cable is one of most deadly experiences. It happen to me, after spraying the throttle valves with carb cleaner.
man. I was at a stop, and I punched it full throttle and it went still 24 mph where I let off, but before i knew it I was 65 mph
in a 25 zone. I hit it in neutral, redlined the engine, turned the engine off, and slammed the 4 disc brakes. Boy i took it home and rebuilt the throttle body. lubed the cable with graphite. crazy

Honestly, If wasnt so cheap, I'd replace it. But I cant drive for another 8 months anyways, damn speeding tickets on open range. loving the desert in cali. But yeah, i'd replace it with good quality cable with teflon coated internally.
