Choking below 2500rpm?
When i start the car after its been sitting for a while, i have no power below 2500rpm. It just chokes and tries to stall. Above it though , it will run. Also, there is erratic flat spots and choking across the whole rpm range after 2500 as well. They car still moves forward, but there is no power, and then the mentioned flat spots.
after about 15min it seems to be fine again below 2500rpm, but i still haev the same upper RPM problems. I cant figure it out.
Also, around the same time i started noticing that my temp sensor is acting weird.. like it will show unusually hot, and then all of a sudden come down to below 105, or even lower, a second later.
i cant check for codes becuase the light wont show me them if there is any(no its not burnt out). i think its a ground issue, since the wiring was recently redone for the switch to TPI from TBI.
this all started happening last friday for no apparent reason

I'll give it a shot. TPS sensor going bad? Any reason for the SES light not coming on even turning the key over? Kinda sounds like either TPS sensor or the coolant sensor on the intake is not reading correctly. Just a thought.

I dont know about the cars ,but my truck TBI has a ground wire that connected to the water outlet bolt for the T-stat..if the cars have the same thing.Did you reinstall it?

i should have put in that the car ran beautifully for almost 3 weeks before this and the swap was like 2 months ago.
throttle sensor? i tested it a couple weeks ago and it was fine... would it do something this erratic?
SES comes on during key over, but jumping the wires reveals no codes, just a solid light.
