need help immediately please
My car will run maybe 10 minutes before overheating.. the radiator is empty look at pictures to see problem

bypass the heater control valve and see if it still overheats. That piece redirects the coolant to the heater core when you turn the heater on. That way when the heater is off, the core doesn't heat up the interior like the older GM's did.

bypassing it will work. i did it, until i got down to the part store and got a new one for about 8 bucks i think. to bypass it use some copper tubing and the clamps you already have...

what would I be better off doing? and if I bypass can someone show me some examples on how to do it

Just buy a new valve, they're like 10 bucks IIRC
if u want to bypass it, connect the incoming coolant to one of the other hoses, depending on whether you want to retain your heater. It being summer, I'd suggest bypassing it to the hose that runs to the engine coolant.
