89 IROC MAF relay(s) location help

Can any of folks tell me where the MAF burn off relay and the MAF power relays are located under hood of an 89 IROC w/ 5.7 ?

And if GM part # 14089936 are the correct relays for this application.

A picture would be great too.

Thanks in advance.

The relays are located on the firewall between the brake booster and the fender, there should be 2 oval shaped ones these are for the maf sensor, the square one is the fuel pump relay.

ON my 89 IROC 5.7 i believe the square relay was the maf burnoff relay. I got that information from someone else and when i replaced the square the one the code 34 went away

Really? What is the third relay for in that cluster of 3 of them?

The suare relay is the fuel pump relay. The 2 oval ones are MAF power and MAF burn off the oval relay closest to the fender is burnoff. You can verifie with a wiring diagram

88 or 89 was the transition year, earlier models used 3 square relays (or at least my 86 does) I think the change was made because people were getting the relays mixed up. the 2 oval relays are identicle, the same relay is also used for the cooling fans.

Yea i beleave their are 5 of the same relays unless the blower relay is a little different but tis the same shape.

My 89 has oval relays for MAF and MAf burnoff and a rectangular one fore the fuel pump.

I have an 89 TA, I just changed my relays today. The two oval shapes are the MAF relay and Burn Off, the square one is the fuel pump relay. It took me 15 minutes to change all three - located on drivers side firewall between brake booster and fender. The MAF oval parts are interchangeable on the 89. My fuel pump relay was gunked up, thank god I changed it - it's best to change all 3 at the same time while your in there. Got my parts from TPI Parts.net, great guy, got it in the mail in 3 day at about $15 a pop for the MAF relays. I was shooting a code 36, no more after the change...
