NO SPARK!
I just replaced my cap and rotor on my distributor and then adjusted the timing. It ran fine yesterday. This morning I try to start the car and all that I hear is the starter trying to get the engine going. It's definitly not a lack of fuel from my carb so it has to be the distributor. Why is this happening? How do I fix this?
Thanks!

First thing is to check that the wires on the distributor are still attached, particularly the "Batt" wire.

check to see if your power input on the dist cap fell off or something. Or remove the cap and see if something looks *amiss*.

is there an echo in here?
Check the drivers side of the distributor cap. There should be 2 plugs going into it, a white and brown IIRC. They plug in from the underside. 2 wires each I think. Both should be there, and in the right place. I think they are keyed such that you can't put them in the wrong spot (brown one in whites spot, and reverse.) One of the plugs (brown?) has a thick pink wire in it, that'd be the batt wire IIRC.

seriously, something wrong with your computer there or what?

The arrow "kinda" points to a pink wire, that's the batt wire. I was actually pointing to the oil pressure gauge, but close enuff.

I had an issue after putting new cap and rotor where I got a little oil or something on the rotor, so I got 0 spark. Only reason I knew I had something going on was because I had spark, then I didnt have spark after I pulled it off.
Clean up the contacts on the cap and the rotor to make sure u didnt get something on there.
