Issues with new timing chain & gears
Need help fast, as I need this car running by tuesday.
Doing cam and heads, and all is going well so far.
I took off the timing chain cover and came to find out when I got the cam gear and chain removed that my Cloyes double roller chain and gear set (CLO-C3023) is a little different than my stock one. Seems that it is a tad wider and will not clear the cover. It might though, I am not sure, it will be close. Did I pick up the wrong set? It says "For non factory roller cam motors", and I read this as "I have a roller cam motor, but the cam is aftermarket" and thought this was the right part.
Anyone else use this gear set? Whats my issue here?
