Will acceleration improve with new motor mounts?

Mine are crappy and rotton and I have new ones ready, but I'm just waiting for some free time to install them. Besides running smoother, will performance improve? What about fuel economy? Or is should I just expect a slightly smoother ride?

In my GTP after a new motor mount was put in, the car was faster and could spin the tires easier. Also it was smoother running. I'm guessing all was because the motor was more planted down and not moving and letting energy go side to side and up and down.

About the only thing it could influence that would have any affect on power output is u-joint angle.

just wait til you run across an engine that has some realy bad worn out mounts on it, i have many times and its crazy to see how much the engine hops in there

quite a bit, bad feels like a cylinder totally missing

they get that way when they get old sometimes

good luck

3rd gen mounts are in a cage. The old open-style, I'd agree, crazy things can happen. But, not 3rd gen engine mounts.
