i got a 85 305 4bbl qjet with all the emissions off and just put headers on to try to get some power and didnt work the engine was swaped. it doesnt smoke at all but when i rev it black shyt comes out somtimes...for example if im at a stop sign and i hit the pedal 2 the floor the tire doesnt spin the front lifts up and takes off could it be my timing and could all the emissions missing have 2 do with it.... have no clue wut it could be im getting my tranny rebuilt this weekend but i dont thing thats making me loss all the power...o and my friends got a 86 305 carb bone stock its got the same hp and his smokes the tires when he steps on it

Not dissing the 305's but with that Combo there isnt going to be a God awful amount of power. And it dont spin the tires Cuse it cant.

Again I,m not dissing the 305's but you get what you pay for. I,d loose the Q jet Intake and Carb but if would be up to your budget on what to do after that.

 

its ok i hate the engine i want a 350 but dont got the money

 

i had a 92 rs with a 305 in it all the stuff installed is in my sig. it would do a sick burnout until i put the 9 bolt in with the lsd. but it never would really spin the tires from a stop. do a 335 stroker.
