OEM cam in a retro-fit motor?

My motor is already retro-fitted with the correct kind of lifters...with the bridge across two..and I know I need a retro fit cam but if I wanted to use a regular normal OEM cam..what would I need?.....

right now I have a timing chain that I know if I use a retro cam I need a cam button but if I use an OEM cam....what? I just dont use the button?

Im probably not making any sense but im trying!

LOL~

You would have to use the factory-style roller timing set; and you'd have to make some kind of a spacer of the same thickness as the factory cam retainer plate; and you'd need a button, but the only way to make one work would be to get a nylon "retrofit" cam button and turn it down to where it would be small enough to fit in among the 3 closely spaced bolts on the factory roller cam.

There's no reason to be doing all that, when you can get any cam profile you want ground on either an original style of roller blank, or the factory style.
