Trick Flow top end kits ????how good are they?
so I am Looking in my summit magazine.. i Find this kit from Trick Flow...
comes with
Camshaft Flat tappet HYdraulic 440/454 lift
Heads TFS-30400001can take up to a 520 lift cam.....
now i looked these heads upin particular and they are giving completely different stats even a cc difference... could they just be built different for the kit??
can i buy this kit and use a roller cam because i have already bought a comp cam ...
the kit is supposed to make 350 hp 400 ft lbs of torque .... Peaked
I want to make about 400 hp
the comp cam is a roller cam with 502/510 lift the duration... i think off the top of my head is 232/ sumtin lol sry guys..
anyways the kit is 1550 $... is it worth it to do what i want
i would probly selll the cam that comes with it on here

You can use a roller cam. All you need to verify is that the heads can handle the lift the cam will produce with the rocker ratio that you are going to use.
Whether or not it is worth it - you could reach your goal with ported 305 heads, but the "worth it" part is a decision you have to make.
