Ring and Pinion install help???

I have an 89 RS that came from the factory with 2.73's and an open carrier. I recently aquired a eaton posi and a set of 3.73's. I need some help/ advice with installation. I know that the install of rear end gears is not by any means easy, but i also understand it is not impossable. does anybody know what i should do, being have an experienced pro do it. Or does anybody know where i can get the resorces to do this myself, such as videos, good install instructions, or a company i can call for help? please help????

hey man I just did a gear swap in my 88 camaro and it wasnt bad at all the tricky part is setting the backlash on the pinon gear. I didnt have to do this , but I know it is hard to get the backlash set properly and I know you have to use a dial indicator and set the gap between the gears from 7 to 10 thousandths and thats all I know about that, but I could explain to you how to install the carrier with no sweat

it's way easier to do than most think. bad part is it requires tools most people don't have. look in a manual for a how to, or even the instructions that came with the gear set.
you need to:
1 set pinion depth, hone out the old bearing so you can slip it on and off when you know what shim to use press on the new bearing, you need a press and bearing spliter, pinion dept tool or depth mic and something to use for a datum surface, i use flat piece of aluminum
2 install pinion and set pre load, you need a dial type in/lb torque wrench plus some sort of "special tool" to hold the yoke ,flat piece of steel with a couple of holes in it works good
3 install carrier and check back lash, you need mag base and indicator
4 and finially check the contact pattern, but i wouldn't get all wrapped up in it if the numbers hit it'll be good.
