pushrod length.

First sorry for my english.

Engine is a chevy -91 355, canfield 197cc heads and a gm lt4 hotcam with *525 lift.

Im about to check the pushrod length due to new heads and cam.
But i whas to hurry and mounted the heads and intake before i know that i whas supposed to use a solid lifter instead of the hyd lifter when checking the pushrod length.
Well whats done is done..
I read on the internet about 2 diffrent methods I can find to do this.

1:Finding Proper Pushrod Length - Circle Track Magazine

This i tried but as i got hyd lifter installed i cant get a consistent reslut on my rockers, but if i take a avrage it seem pretty much in the vavle tip center.

2: Or this. Mount the rocker when the lifter is at the base of the cam, markt the vavletip with a pen. Then viggle the rocker left to right and se that its center or a tiny bit against the intake side off the valve tip . This i did and can confirm its center.

I also tried this device.
Buy Performance Car Parts at Summit Racing!

But that jsut made it even more confused. Accoring to that i got 0.078" to long pushrods. BUT if i use my adjs pushrod and take away 0.078" the other 2 tests fails. So i dunno?

Any tips are whery welcomed

Thanks
