I got a problem ....

After the car gets warmed up i get a good stream of smoke out of the tailpipes .... Now its not bad smoke like black or nothing .... just more than there should be. now it does hav flowmasters on it but i recently took it through inspection and it failed the HC at 331 on a 220 limit due to unburned fuel .... so i put new plugs in it ....the old ones were burnt up and 5 degrees undergapped and an accel cap and rotor and a new ign coil .... So could it be because its burning that fuel now ? and do u think that will be enough to get it down to 220 on the HC

There may still be a misfire, excess fuel being fed to the engine, or a really weak oxygen sensor.

Any fuel that reached the cat before is now gone (within minutes). However, the carbon and coking it created may still be lodged in the converter. You may also be burning some carbon out of the honeycomb in the cat. Are there any unusual odors with the smoke?

vader what would be a good way to get the carbon out? just drive it or would you think little water would work better?

could be either coolant or oil as oil is more of a bluish tint but harder to make out

smell it

does it smell sweetish if so then you have coolant does it smell like oil? then you have oil
