mini starter install problems

just tried to install this ministarter and would not fit! bolted it up and the teeth wouldnt even come close. advaneauto said would work fine but i donno mayb im doin somthing wrong. let me get this straight, i need a straight-accross/inline bolt pattern, 153 tooth right? any help would b great.

i tried to install a summit mini starter last week and it wouldn't work. it had like 3 different mounting positions, but none of them would fit. it either hit the header collector or the y-pipe. i sent it back and just put a OE starter in there.

Have you got it in the right set of holes? If it's the one they're showing on the site, it's good to go on either size flywheel. Think it's the same one I'm running, it came with it's own ARP bolts right? I'm running the larger flexplate so you'd need to use the short and long bolt I believe.
