'91 RS Fuel Pressure Regulator
According to the Hayne's repair manual, the fuel pressure regulator is not removable from the fuel rail other than by a dealer.
Well, I know that it has the tamper-resistant torx screws holding it on. I've taken my entire fuel rail apart, including the fuel pressure regulator.
I'm wondering if there's any effective way to test the regulator while it's either or or off the rail...
What are some sure-fire ways to tell it's bad?
Thanks in advance.

On the rail installed in the car: connect fuel pressure gauge to fitting at rear of rail. Jump fuel pump on by running a clip lead between B+ and the red pig tail at the relays (by brake booster). Fuel pressure should be between 43 & 47 psi.
Pull vacuum line off regulator and check for fuel. If have fuel regulator is bad.

Thanks for the info. I cleaned it all up and put it back together. It's pushing 45psi.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
