215/85R15 ?!? Wow.
It should be 215/65/R15 all around. BFgoodrich Radial TA's are pretty common for this application, but I think there are better choices as far as brands.
Your name is Captain Nguyen ? Your parents must have had a sense of humor

Yeah I saw it, but it seems not right.
Thats why I want to know correct tire size.

It's just a nickname

Here is picture of my Trans Am.

Yes, I'm going make into KITT of Knight Rider.
Will tire size 235/60/R15 fix on my TA?
I have used a tire calculator from other thread I found.
Speedo will read 0.4% slower from 215/65/R15 to 235/60/R15.
But enough space?
Like as steering..

yep, common upgrade. Speedo won't be off by enough for you to tell without squinting real close.
You might be able to get the tires to rub, if you turn it all the way to the locks often, but I doubt it.

Besides, how cool will that car be in the Netherlands? It'll be a one of a kind!

That's a q-jet on that?? Care to elaborate on specs? Motor, and more specifically carb? I'm still trying to fine tune mine, and the response on that sounded perfect.

Remember this thread is about tire sizes...I wouldn't dream of hijacking a thread.Originally Posted by Sonix

I love the Q-jet because it is so misunderstood and underestimated. It is sleeper stuff.
The 750 Qjet can be picked up by the boxfull at any junkyard. For $10-$15 each.
It can easily support 400-450 horsepower or more.
My weapon of choice is the emission carb built just before CCC.
Once the "tamper proof" plugs are out of in front the idle mixture screws it's really a good $15
carb. They have super fine threads on the idle mixture screws (that you have to cut a screwdriver slot in so you can turn them). The rest of the "magic" is working with the back air valve so it does what it needs to do. The free play to uncover the secondary "accelerator pump" ports. And don't tune it with the windup spring. It don't mean a thing.
All of this stuff is in "tuning the Q-jet for power" papers all over the web.
It's just that nobody wants to take the time to learn it.
It also doesn't hurt to have a wide selection of secondary rods...
These don't affect the mixture until above 3500 RPM though.
BTW about 40 Qjets in the junkyard gave their lives for my selection of rods.
Quick tips: Set the float level as high as possible. It changes every thing from "emission to power". Learn about the air valve.
My secondary rods and the Qjet on a 500 hp drag car. (notice the distributor)
This guy can afford ANY carb!

Nice! My philosophy as well! Secondary acc pump ports? Maybe we should take this to PM so as not to clutter up an unrelated thread, but i've read about the carbs at nauesem, and i'm not sure if I know what you're talking about the secondar acc pump..
I've gotta get my primaries dialed in right first, perhaps i'll start with a new core, I think mine might be fubar, seems no matter what trick I do, it runs worse...
