Anyone's Engine Ever Buck?
This is going to be a stupid question but here it is anyway.
I swapped a 2.8 automatic out for a 350 TPI 5 speed. The car is not done yet so I never drive it. And among the myriad of problems that I've had so far, the most recent was a faulty fuel pump relay, or so I think. Anyway, I changed the relay out and when I was test driving the car, it would "buck" whenever I got to and/or near 3000 to 3500 RPM. The car essentially jerks like I was letting off the gas or like it was going into redline.
Although the car was in closed loop mode (I had it running for about 5 minutes before driving it), it was still a little cold when it was doing this. Also, the PROM is not keyed in just right yet and the car is running rich. But this is a new problem.
Could it be that the car was still cold or that the ECM is learning the perameters anew after I disconnected the battery or could it be a vacuum leak? What would cause such a thing?
If anyone's had a similar experience, please let me know.

usually running lean makes it buck, or too much timing. Vacuum leak would be a likely culprit.
Why aren't you driving the corvette ?!?

Corvette is my daily driver. This Camaro I've had since I was 17 and I refuse to allow it to beat me! I WILL get it to run!

ah, fair enough, drive the POS 'vette daily, then the camaro is your weekend treat eh?
haha, that's the nicest daily driver i've ever heard of...
Well, i'm guessing it's more of an FI thing, which I don't know much about. If you're going to be asking about the finer points of the TPI setup, perhaps someone in the TPI board could be of help to you.
