JK, do you have an auto or standard? Check the cables going from your battery to your starter, could be a bad key tumbler. What exactally does it do when you turn the key, besides not start?

Like asked before is it auto or standard, did you check the battery cable going to the starter?

I doubt jiggling the key or shifter will help, the reason I asked is because it could have been the neutral saftey switch had it been a manual. Check the starter and make sure the cable is securely attached, also check all the grounds coming off the battery. It may be a good idea to disconnect the terminals from the battery first.

i think i am going through the same thing...i changed the starter and still nothing happened until i hit the new one with a hammer....i got one start out of it and now its doing what yours is doing...it turns over with a remote starter switch but wont fire up....i also changed my ignition switch and neutral safety switch....still no luck....try getting one of these remote starter switches and see what happens....if it fires up then you just need a new starter or worst case its a bad ignition switch or neutral saeftey switch...unless of course we are going through the same thing lol

cursed

well i must be curse because i have this problem with both of my third gens. one is a 305tbi 5-speed and the other a L98 auto. i tried an ignition switch with no luck, checked the neutral switch, still no luck, switched steering columns and ignition cylinders, all with no luck. I have hit the starters all that good stuff. I still havent found out what the problem is. but i am still searching. will keep all informed.

BTW i was thinking that maybe for some reason the injectors arent firing for us...maybe it has something to do with the VATS or pass key decoder because I know that is what sends a signal to the ECM telling it to fire the injectors....I'm going to try and figure out how to test/bypass it all and I will post my results
