Estimate HP/TQ snd CR
Can you guys give me an estimate on my HP/TQ? Also what would my compression be.
Setup:
880 block (come out a 94 z71)
350 bored 0.030 over
Flat Top pistons with 4 valve relief
Stock rods and crank
high volume oil pump
Vortec heads bowl blended
260H flat tappet cam
Felpro blue head gasket.
TPI intake
Serpentine pulley set-up
roller rockers.
700r4 trans w/ 2500 stall

maybe 300HP and 380tq. That's a low RPM motor setup there.
United Engine and Machine Co.
this'll help you calc your CR. piston depth will be roughly .025" if you didn't deck the block, heads should be ~64cc, pistons will have ~5cc reliefs, and I don't know offhand the specs on that head gasket, but i'm guessing in the range of 4.150" hole, .039" thick.

Why do you say it's a low rpm setup. I'm not gonna use it to race. It will be my daily driver, but I will have some fun with it. Thanks guys for the help!

rhamm1320, you have a Idividual Runner EFI intake @ 750cfm in you calculation. TPI is a bit different, that's why your estimate is so generous.
1987earthquake,
Do you have a vortech tpi intake?
That intake and cam will both make for a low rpm motor.
What exhaust, headers or manifolds?
here's what i got with manifolds;
peak hp = 261 @ 4000rpm
peak tq = 383 @ 3000rpm
here's with headers;
peak hp = 302 @ 4500rpm
peak tq = 418 @ 2000rpm
the graph is for headers. it makes a nice curve from 3500 to 5000. It was still making 293hp @ 5000rpm.

The comp260H is a lower RPM band camshaft. If you're not going all out ***** to wall race - more of a daily driver (which I now know it is), then it's a fine cam for your application.

Oh I see now why you say it's a low rpm setup. Since it is would this also make my gas mileage look pretty good as well?

yep, about as good as a 350 v-8 can get... TPI injection, low RPM cam, vortec heads, and overdrive, with lazy gears out back...Yea, over 20MPG on the highway for sure. (I'm not one to make wild claims like 30MPG in a V-8)
