i've had them at the bottom the timing chain cover/oil pan, from the seal for the harmonic balancer on the timing chain cover, rear main seal, from the head gaskets, from valve cover gasket, front and back of the intake, distributor gasket, oil pressure sending unit...pretty much anything you can think of. i'm currently leak free and have been for 3 months or so, which is saying alot when you're like me and you're constantly pulling the motor for something. (that also means i've not pulled the motor for 3 months, yay!)

where is it dripping from? maybe we can pin-point it.

Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
Valve covers

The top bolt on the old motor mount pattern on the pass side of the front of the block (smog pump in these cars), next to the water pump; goes right into the crankcase

Intake "china walls" (end rails where it meets the block)

Oil pressure sending unit

Somewhere on the backside of the engine. I think it's where the intake and the head meet at that corner somewhere. Just put the intake back on and it's covered my starter in oil again grrr. It was oil free for some time after slapping a bunch of goop back there.

I think i'm leaking from oil pan to block seal at the front... Kinda where the timing cover goes as well....

you gunked it - so you cleaned it up eh? Sounds like timing chain cover... You replaced this seal recently?

I have had the rear gasket on the intake leak. Passenger side valve cover gasket. Oil sending unit vibrated loose just enough to leak. I had one of the pcv valves with the crome cap and it leaked. I am now leak free for the moment.

My leak was from the distributor, the o-ring was rock hard, and wasn't sealing.
