I have an 89 GTA with 75K on it. When you first start and drive the car with the engine cold it runs great. But after the engine reaches 190 it start sputtering and missing. I have checked wire, cap, plugs and fuel filter.

Help please.

 

does it backfire? Sounds like it could be the maf, ignition module, or distributor. the ignition module are common problems on our cars, look into that first.

 

It backfired on a day when then temp was about 98.
I will change the ignition module.

a backfire is a good sign of ignition or timing problems. My old 89 used to sputter and backfire. it ended up being a bad distributor.
