Missing and engine swap 305 to 350 sensor question

I have a 1989 RS camaro, the bottom end is a 350 bored .60, topend is 305with TBI throttle body, with the orignal computer to the 305 no changes. What sensors is a must do change? I read knock sensor and ECM is this true?

Right now, the engine is reading a code 43, it's misfiring badily once it warms up alittle, only when your going to woot, if you stay between 1-3500 rpms nothing. Sounds like detonation. New fuel pump, i haven't changed the fuel filter.

I would highly recommend that you spend your time in the DIY PROM board! You are most likely running that engine WAAAYYYY lean since you haven't adjusted the ecm. I recommend that you don't run it at all till you get the ecm updated.

If you are not going to work on the ecm yourself, I recommend that you contact a local speed shop and see if you can get a chip that more cloesly matches your engine.

The ecm controls VERY important functions like how much fuel to give the engine. Your engine is now bigger than what the ecm was designed for. While the ecm will try to correct this it may run into limitations which it sounds like you have hit (running lean).

The ecm is a vital part of the whole engine assembly! It must match the rest of the components in the system.

Quick question If I may.. I know very little about my car, L98 350, guy I bought from says plugs/wires new.. well they look new. Accel 8mm.. problem... it's missing/bogging at low rpm.. driving me nuts!.. when I gun it it's fine but at cruising.. grrr.. so .. my question: do I just go ahead and replace cap, rotor, wires and plugs?... any alternative?.. i sprayed them.. no difference
